Lady T's open season with Tyson Center Split

By Dan Holsworth, Madison Daily Leader (Sioux City, IA) - Megan Swecker's 15-point outing, along with Lisa Chase's 12 points, weren't enough to hold off Hastings, which handed the Lady T's an 11-point 74-63 defeat. DSU's next highest scorer was Kaitlyn Kramer, who had eight points. Camryn Streitz and Alyssa Kirk had seven points each as the Lady T's shot 20-58 from the field. Kirk and Swecker each had five rebounds as Hastings out-rebounded DSU 46-43.

Kramer and Streitz each had three steals. Hastings, which shot 27-71 from the field, had four players in double figures, led by Lindsay Ducey with 21 points. Kay Broekmeier added 14 tallies and Rachael Isherwood and Kim Faimon had 12 apiece. Ducey completed her double-double day with 10 rebounds, which Broekmeier had five assists and Faimon ended up with six steals.
