DAC Baseball All-Conference and Postseason Honors Announced

After the completion of the DAC Baseball Postseason Tournament, the DAC All-Conference and honors were announced. Six Trojans have earned the DAC honors.
Hibraim Corodva, native of Vega Baja, PR, earned first team DAC All-Conference. He finished the season with a .362 batting average and a .622 slugging percentage. Cordova recorded 46 hits, eight doubles, two triples and seven home runs. He recorded 35 RBIs and 25 runs. In addition, center field Cordova was named to DAC Freshman of the Year, selected by the DAC Baseball coaches.
Another Trojan was named to DAC All-Conference first team, Jared Donahue. He is a two-time DAC Pitcher of the Week this season. His season ERA ended with 2.66. Donahue, native of Winner, S.D., pitched two complete games and tossed 40 2/3 total innings. In 10 games pitched, he allowed 30 hits, 16 runs (four unearned), and amassed a total of 54 strikeouts. His opponent batting's average is .208 and finished with a 3-1 pitching record with a save.
Josh Tiede has been selected as second team DAC All-Conference. He batted an average of .341 with 42 total hits. He hit ten doubles, one triple and eight home runs this season. His slugging percentage stands at .634. Tiede scored 33 runs and walked 20 times. He recorded 35 RBIs. Tiede plays second base for the Trojans and is a native of Newport, Wash.
Zane Roduner earned DAC All-Conference second team and selected to Gold Glove Team. He started in all 41 games for the Trojans. Roduner, native of Rapid City, S.D., batted .313 with 45 hits, ten doubles and four home runs. He recorded 32 RBIs and scored 28 times. In defense, third baseman Roduner had a .957 fielding percentage. He had 164 catches with 105 putouts and 52 assists.
Madison native pitcher Dan Rhodes was named to DAC All-Conference second team. He finished with a 5-2 overall pitching record with a 5.93 ERA. In 10 games, he tossed 44 innings. Rhodes gave up 63 hits, 36 runs (seven unearned) and struck out 34 batters.
Relief pitcher Zach Weber earned DAC All-Conference second team. A native of Flandreau, S.D., Weber recorded seven saves with a 4-2 pitching record. In 17 game appearances, he pitched 20 1/3 innings and struck out 20 batters. Weber gave up 21 runs (six unearned) and 29 hits.
The Trojans ended their 2009 campaign with a 20-21 overall record. Dakota State finished third in the DAC Baseball Postseason Tournament recently.
