Three Trojan Softball Players Earned DAC Softball Postseason Honors

Three Trojan players earned DAC Softball Postseason awards. The awards and honors were announced after the conclusion of the DAC Softball Postseason Tournament.
Outfielder Ashley Souphimdara was named to DAC All-Conference team. A junior from Brandon, S.D. has broken a single season school record in stolen bases with 28. In 45 games this season, Souphimdara batted an average of .329 with 48 hits. She scored 36 runs and walked 24 times.
Souphimdara was named to DAC Gold Glove Team. She recorded a .935 fielding percentage with four errors.
Third base Leigh Gramke earned DAC All-Conference At-Large team. In 45 games, Gramke's batting average was .354 with 46 hits, eight doubles, six triples and three home runs. She recorded a slugging percentage of .577. She swiped 10 times during the season.
Gramke, native of Tekamah, Neb., was also named to DAC Freshman of the Year, selected by the DAC Softball coaches.
Pitcher Kendra Roth, a native of Salem, S.D. earned honor for DAC Gold Glove Team. She had a percent fielding percentage for the season (1.000) with no errors on 49 catches. She also recorded 12 putouts and 37 assists in 36 games.
The Trojans finished their 2009 season with a 17-28 overall record and a fourth place finish in the DAC Conference regular season.
