Trojans tabbed to finish eighth in DAC Preseason Men's Basketball Poll

DICKINSON, N.D. - The Dakota State University men's basketball team was picked to finish eighth in the DAC Preseason Poll released Monday.

Defending DAC conference champion Black Hills State is the favorite to win the DAC conference in the preseason men's basketball coaches' poll.  The Yellow Jackets received seven first place votes to top the poll.  Minot State picked up the final first place ballot to finish second.

Jamestown and South Dakota School of Mines are third and fourth in the balloting.  Dickinson State placed fifth; followed by Valley City State, Mayville State and Dakota State.

The poll was conducted by the Dakota Athletic Conference.

The Trojans will open their 2009-2010 campaign on Monday, Nov. 2 in Yankton, S.D.  They will visit Mount Marty College in a non-conference game.
