Dakota State University Trojan Baseball standout Zach Weber has signed to play for the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks.  The Redhawks are an independent professional baseball team in Fargo, N.D. and part of the Northern League.

Weber earned DAC All-Conference honors this past spring as a relief pitcher.  For the season, he posted an impressive seven saves with a 4-2 pitching record.  Weber posted a 5.75 ERA in 20 1/3 innings.  According to the NAIA DakStats statistical website, he ranks 23rd in total saves.

Weber is the second pitcher from Dakota State University within the last two years to sign a professional contract.  David Morgan signed with the Redhawks last summer.

Zach is the son of Rick and Karen Weber of Flandreau, S.D.  He is a transfer student from South Dakota State University and is a senior Physical Science major at Dakota State University.
