Six recruits join Trojan Football team

The Dakota State University Head Football Coach Josh Anderson is proud to announce six letter-of-intents to play for the Trojan Football team in the fall.

Dillon DwyerDillon Dwyer is 6'1" and 200 lb. linebacker from Milbank High School.  He was coached by Jeremy Tostenson.  Dwyer was selected as All-State Linebacker in 2009.  He was named to All-NEC conference two times.  Dwyer was selected as the team defensive most valuable player two times.  He was named offensive lineman of the year.  Dwyer was listed in the All-State Academic honor and received special recognition to the Argus Leader Elite 45 football list.  He was a team captain for the Milbank High School football team.  Dillon is the son of Bill and Julie Dwyer of Milbank, S.D.  He plans to major in Education at DSU.

Jared EggersJared Eggers played center for head coach Jason Broughton at Corsica High School.  He is 6'2" and 250 lb.  Eggers was named team captain in his junior and senior years.  He was selected as the team's most valuable lineman in 2008.  Eggers also lettered in basketball and track & field.  He was listed on the Honor Roll.  Jared is the son of Jim and Jan Eggers of Corsica, S.D.  He plans to major in Physical Education at Dakota State University.

 

Tyler HansonTyler Hanson, 6'2" and 200 lb., played defensive end for Sioux Valley High School in Volga, S.D.  He was coached by Peter Books.  Hanson also lettered in basketball and track & field.  He was listed on the Honor Roll.  Tyler is the son of Shane and Tawnya Hanson of Volga, S.D.  He plans to major in Computer Information Systems at DSU.

 

 

 

Ronnie JorgensonRonnie Jorgenson comes from Tracy Area High School and played defensive tackle under head coaches Randy McIntire and Derek Flann.  He is 6'2" and 260 lb. and was named to 2008 Rookie of the Year.  Jorgenson was a team captain and was selected as 2009 Defensive Lineman of the Year.  He also lettered in basketball.  Ronnie is the son of Randy Jorgenson and Annette Miller of Balaton, Minn.  He plans to major in Exercise Science or Special Education at Dakota State University.

 

 

Blake KirschenmanBlake Kirschenman, 5'8" and 160 lb., played for Lennox High School.  He was coached by Kent Anderson and has transferred from Black Hills State.  Blake was a three-year starter and letter winner in football and baseball.  He is the son of Mark and Kari Kirschenman of Sioux Falls, S.D.  Blake's intended major will be Education at DSU.

 

 

Connor SkaareConnor Skaare comes from Hitchcock-Tulare High School.  He is 6'0" and 200 lb.  Skaare played running back and defensive end for the Patriots, under the guidance of Kenny Huether.  He was selected as All-Conference four times.  In 2009, Skaare was named 2009 All-State Running Back.  He was named to 2008 All-State Defensive End.  Skaare was selected to the Argus Leader Elite 45 and Northeast All-Area team two times (2008 and 2009).  Connor is the son of Rod and Rhonda Skaare of Hitchcock, S.D.  He plans to major in Exercise Science at Dakota State University.
