Dordt Invitational Results

SIOUX CENTER, Iowa - The Trojan indoor track and field team participated in their final regular season meet (Dordt Invitational) Friday at the Dordt College Recreation Center.

Brittany Young broke a new DSU school record in the women's 600-meter run.  She placed second with a time of one minute and 38.90 seconds.  As a result, Young qualified for NAIA Nationals.

Matt Fideler qualified for NAIA Nationals in the men's 800-meter run.  He finished fourth with a time of 1:56.99.  Andy Coy was fifth with a time of 1:57.04.

Fideler placed second in the men's one-mile run with a time of 4:29.85.  Andrew Manning finished sixth in 4:37.52.

Tyler Van Peursem captured the individual title in the men's 1000-meter run in 2:29.51.  Anthony Drealan was sixth in 2:40.47.

Danielle Rowe claimed the individual title in the women's high jump.  She cleared the high jump with a measure of 5 feet and 1.75 inches.  She placed sixth in the women's 55-meter dash with a time of 7.85 seconds.

The 4 x 800 men's relay team (Drealan, Manning, John Bintliff and Andy Quenzer) placed second with a time of 8:13.68.

Stacey Berg placed second in the men's long jump with a measure of 21 feet and 7.25 inches.  He finished fourth in the men's 200-meter dash.  He finished with a time of 23.54 seconds.

Cody Foreman was second in the men's 400-meter dash in 51.26 seconds.

Devon Berkness placed second in the men's 3000-meter run (8:57.12).

Samantha Warnke finished fourth in the women's 800-meter run in 2:24.53.

Amber Krogstad was fourth in the women's long jump with a measure of 16 feet and 1.5 inches.

Shelby Tollefson placed fifth in the women's triple jump (32 feet and 4.75 inches).

Drew Allen crossed the finish line in fifth place in the men's 55-meter hurdles.  He finished with a time of 8.04 seconds.  Allen was fifth in the men's long jump with a measure of 20 feet and one inch.

Dakota State will prepare for their biggest meet of the season this weekend in Spearfish, S.D.  The Trojans will compete in the DAC Indoor Track and Field Championship meet.  The meet is hosted by Black Hills State and will be held at the Donald E. Young Gymnasium.
