Ten Trojan athletes prepare for NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships

Tentative Schedule of Events

2010 NAIA Indoor Track and Field National ChampionshipsThe 45th Annual Men's and 30th Annual Women's National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Indoor Track and Field National Championships - powered by Dex®, will commence from March 4-6 in Johnson City, Tenn.  The event will take place at the ETSU Memorial Center "Mini-Dome," with the men's heptathlon and women's pentathlon kicking-off the event on Thursday afternoon.  Johnson City has hosted the event since 2001.

Ten Dakota State's indoor track and field athletes will participate in the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships.

The Trojans will compete in three events on Thursday.  Tyler Van Peursem, Andy Coy, Cody Foreman and Matt Fideler will make up the men's 3,200-meter relay team.  The men's 3,200-meter relay semifinals are scheduled to start at 6 p.m. (ET)/5 p.m. (CT).  The finals will take place on Friday night at 7 p.m. (ET)/6 p.m. (CT).

The Trojan women's distance medley relay will race in the semifinals on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. (ET)/6:30 p.m. (CT).  The distance medley relay team consists of Stephanie Warnke, Laura Porch, Brittany Young and Samantha Warnke.  The finals will be held on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. (ET)/2:30 p.m. (CT).

On Thursday night at 8 p.m. (ET)/7 p.m. (CT), the DSU men's distance medley relay team will compete in the semifinals.  The relay team includes Anthony Drealan, Foreman, Fideler and Van Peursem.  Coy will be designated as an alternate to the relay team.  The men's distance medley relay finals will be held on Saturday at 3:50 p.m. (ET)/2:50 p.m. (CT).

Young will race in the women's 800-meter run semifinals on Friday at 4:15 p.m. (ET)/3:15 p.m. (CT).  The finals will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. (ET)/12:30 p.m. (CT).

Danielle Rowe will make her second straight appearance at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships meet in the women's high jump.  The women's high jump prelims and finals will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. (ET)/12:30 p.m. (CT).
