DSU Volleyball announces 2010 summer camps dates

Dakota State University volleyball head coach Amy Veenhof wants to announce the dates for the upcoming volleyball 2010 summer camps dates.
The DSU Volleyball Team Camp will be held on June 8th and 9th. There will be a guarantee of three matches each day and coaches are recommended to attend. Every camper will receive a t-shirt. The camp fee is $130. For more information, click here for DSU Volleyball team camp information.
The setters' clinic will be on June 21st. Instructions will focus on all aspects of setting: footwork, form and technique, consistency, setting different tempos, jump setting, attacking, deception and emergency skills. The setters' clinic is for grades 7-12 and the cost is $75 (including lunch). It will start at 9:30 a.m. and continues until 4 p.m. Click here for more information on the setters' clinic.
On June 22nd, 2010, DSU will be hosting the hitters' clinic. Instruction will focus on all aspects of attacking: approach footwork, arm swing, shot selection, position specific attacks and transition. The camp fee is $75 (including lunch) for grades 7-12 and will start at 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about the hitters' clinic, click here.
The serve, serve receive and defense clinic will be held on June 23rd. Serving and serve receive are the most important skills in volleyball. Serving training will include: technique, specialization and accuracy. Serve receive training will include: posture, footwork, underhand and over hand technique, accuracy and tempo. Defensive instruction will focus on basic ball handling skills as well as emergency defensive skills including sprawling, pancakes and overhead digging. The DSU Volleyball traveling camps will be held in the summer. DSU will be going to your school to work with your players and your team. The camp fee will be $30 for each camper for a three-hour session. Sessions are from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The camp sessions will be specifically designed to meet your team's needs.
