DSU Athletics inspires Madison community

Meals-on-Wheels programDakota State University Athletic Department continues their growth in the NAIA Champions of Character activities.  The Trojans' volleyball, men's basketball and football teams took part in the Meals-on-Wheels program in the Madison community.

The Meals-on-Wheels program provides nourishment and enriches the lives of the homebound and other people in need through programs that promote dignity and independent living.

Volleyball Head Coach Amy Veenhof with Stephanie Kruggel"I just love doing Meals-on-Wheels," stated DSU volleyball head coach Amy Veenhof.  "I'm glad that Vickie Walters asked us if we could help out.  All the people we deliver the meals to are very appreciative.  I think the people that we deliver the meals to enjoy seeing us."

Trojan men's basketball assistant coach Matthew Garner said, "Meals-on-Wheels program is a wonderful service to the community of Madison.  Assistant Men's Basketball Coach Matthew GarnerWhat I noticed that the people receiving the meals are so thankful and very happy to see you every time."
