Donahue named DAC Pitcher of the Week, sets DSU school record for most strikeouts in a season

Jared DonahueThe Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) has selected sophomore Trojan's starting pitcher Jared Donahue as the pitcher of the week.  This is the second time this season that he has received this honor.

Donahue pitched a complete game shutout in a 2-0 win over Jamestown Sunday as the Trojans took two games from the Jimmies.  In his lone outing of the week, he gave up no runs on six hits in seven innings.  He struck out seven batters and allowed three walks.

Jared DonahueAccording to the NAIA DakStats statistical website, Donahue leads the nation in strike outs per nine innings (13.75).  He had amassed a DSU school record of 82 strikeouts this season, which is sixth in the nation.

Jared is the son of Pat and Kristi Donahue of Winner, S.D.  He majors in Business Management at Dakota State University.
