Trojans picked to finish 7th (tie) in DAC VB preseason poll

DICKINSON, N.D. - Defending conference champion Jamestown College is the pick of the coaches in the Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) preseason volleyball poll. Dakota State was picked to finish in a tie for seventh place with Valley City State.
The Jimmies, who return all-conference performers Shannon Fee, Sam Revering and Katie Zent, picked up seven first-place votes to top the preseason balloting.
Black Hills State, who won the DAC tournament to qualify for their second straight national tournament, finished second in the poll. Dickinson State picked up the final first-place vote to finish third. South Dakota School of Mines is picked fourth, Mayville State is fifth and Minot State sixth.
The Trojans finished 9-19 overall record and 4-10 in the DAC conference last season.
The poll was conducted by the DAC.
The Trojans will open their 2010 volleyball season at the Grand View (IA) tournament on Aug. 27-28.
