DSU Football head coach Josh Anderson instructs players"For the start of the season, it's been a lot of fun being around all the veterans again as well as seeing the new faces of the program," said Anderson.  "The excitement is high and the competition is even higher.  As a program, we've taken the proper steps with a year-round lifting program and fixed many problems through the summer workouts.  We used the momentum from the end of the season last year and did a great job of finding depth, fixing problems and becoming academically sound as a whole.  This program is shaping up nicely and coming along a lot faster than I anticipated which is exciting for everyone involved."
