Trojan Football returns home Saturday for Trojan Homecoming

The Dakota State University Trojan Football team returns home on Saturday after playing two straight games on the road.  The Trojans will attempt to record their first win of the season as they host the South Dakota School of Mines Hardrockers in a DAC conference action at the Trojan Field.  The Trojan Homecoming game will kick-off at 6 p.m.  Tailgate area will be available two hours prior to the game on the east side of the Trojan Field's parking lot.

Dakota State's overall record is 0-3 and 0-1 in the DAC conference.  South Dakota School of Mines is 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

In both teams' last meeting, the Trojans traveled to Rapid City, S.D. on Sept. 19, 2009 to take on the Hardrockers.  South Dakota School of Mines jumped to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter before the Trojans cut the deficit to 10-7 in the second quarter.  The Hardrockers scored the next 31 points to defeat Dakota State 41-7.

As of Thursday afternoon, the weather forecast predicts partly cloudy skies with 50 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms, becoming mostly clear by nighttime.  Temperatures will be in the lower 60's during the day and cooling down to the upper 40's during the night.  Winds will be from the north-northeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
