DSU runners compete in final regular season meet Saturday

The Dakota State University cross country teams return back to action on Saturday at the Mount Marty/Graphic Edge Invitational. It will be Trojans' final regular season meet before running in the DAC Cross Country Conference Championships. The meet will be held at Human Services Center in Yankton, S.D. The women's 5K race will start at 10:30 a.m. with the men's 8K race to follow at approximately 11:15 a.m.
The meet will feature all members from the Great Plains Athletic Conference and Dakota Athletic Conference. NCAA Division II Augustana College (S.D.) and NCAA Division III Colorado College will also make an appearance at the meet.
Dakota State women's cross country team ranks sixth in the DAC weekly rankings. There are three ranked women's in the meet - No. 8 Concordia (Neb.), No. 15 Black Hills State and No. 17 Morningside.
The Trojan men's cross country team is ranked second in the conference weekly rankings behind Black Hills State. No. 8 Concordia (Neb.) is the only ranked team in the men's race. The Trojans received 14 votes in the latest NAIA Men's Cross Country National Poll.
The DAC Cross Country Conference Championships will be held on Nov. 5 in Jamestown, N.D.
