Trojan Men's Basketball team opens season Friday and Saturday

The Dakota State University men's basketball team opens their 2010-11 season this weekend.  DSU will play in the DWU/Fulton State Bank Classic in Mitchell, S.D. at the Corn Palace.

On Friday, the Trojans will face Graceland (Iowa) of the Heart of America Athletic Conference at 6 p.m.  Fellow DAC member Minot State takes on the host team Dakota Wesleyan of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

Minot State plays Graceland on Saturday at 4 p.m.  The Trojans will take on their in-state rival Dakota Wesleyan in the night cap at 6 p.m.  The Trojans-Tigers game will be available live video webcast on www.mitchellrepublic.com.

On Nov. 1 (Monday), DSU travels to Brookings, S.D. to take on NCAA Division I South Dakota State of the Summit League in an exhibition game.  Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. at the Frost Arena.

Dakota Wesleyan is ranked No. 20 in the NAIA Men's Basketball Division II 'Top 25' Preseason rankings, released on Oct. 25.  Two fellow DAC members are ranked in the national poll.  Black Hills State is No. 6 and Jamestown ranks No. 22.
