DSU Women's Basketball opens season Tuesday versus DWU

The Dakota State University women's basketball team opens their 2010-11 season on Tuesday, Nov. 2. The Trojans welcome their in-state rival Dakota Wesleyan of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) in a non-conference game at the DSU Fieldhouse. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
It's the season opener for both teams. The Tigers and Trojans split two meetings last year. DWU won the first meeting at the Corn Palace on Nov. 10, 2009. The Tigers defeated the Trojans 84-79. DSU defeated DWU in the University of Sioux Falls Classic on Dec. 29. The Trojans defeated the Tigers 78-67.
Dakota State was tabbed to finish eighth in the DAC Women's Basketball Coaches' Preseason Poll. DWU was picked to finish 10th in the GPAC.
