DSU Women's Basketball team faces two GPAC teams this week

The Dakota State University women's basketball team hosts Dordt (Iowa) of the Great Plains Athletic Conference on Tuesday night. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. at DSU Fieldhouse.
On Saturday, Nov. 13, the Trojans hit the road for eight straight road games, two as exhibition games. DSU will head to Orange City, Iowa to take on NAIA Women's Basketball Division II defending champions No. 1 Northwestern (Iowa). Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m. at Bultman Center.
Dakota State's overall record is 1-0, defeating Dakota Wesleyan of the GPAC 78-73 on Nov. 2. Dordt is 2-0, defeating two DAC teams. The Lady Defenders defeated Valley City State 52-45 on Nov. 5 and Jamestown 76-69 on Nov. 6. Northwesteren also defeated two DAC teams last weekend to open their season at 2-0. The Red Raiders defeated Jamestown 98-65 on Nov. 5. Northwestern went on to beat Valley City State 67-55 on Nov. 6.
Dordt won the last meeting from Dakota State on Nov. 17, 2009 in Sioux Center, Iowa. The Lady Defenders raced to a 50-29 halftime lead to defeat the Trojans 90-71.
The last time DSU and Northwestern met was on Oct. 31, 2008 in the Morningside Classic at the Tyson Center in Sioux City, Iowa. The Red Raiders held a 41-31 halftime lead, but the Trojans staged a 54-40 second-half run to defeat Northwestern 85-81.
