VANCOUVER, Wash. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 305 women's cross country student-athletes have been named to 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Two Dakota State runners will receive this prestigious honor.
The announcement was made one day prior to the NAIA Women's and Men's Cross Country National Championships. The nominations were made by each institution's head coach.
A student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must achieve at least junior academic status to qualify.
The two Trojan runners are sisters Samantha Drealan and Stephanie Warnke. Drealan is a fifth-year senior and Warnke is a junior at Dakota State University. Both are majoring in Exercise Science. They are daughters of Tim and Brenda Warnke.
