Trojan women's basketball team continues home stand this week

The Dakota State University women's basketball team continues their four-game home stand with two games this week. The Trojans will host NCAA Division III Presentation College on Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, DSU welcomes York (Neb.) in both teams' second meeting of the season. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. All games are at DSU Fieldhouse.
Dakota State is 3-6 overall record. The Trojans suffered their second straight defeat Monday night. DSU fell short to No. 19 Mount Marty 59-55.
Presentation is 1-4 overall record. The Saints won their first game of the season on Nov. 30 after suffering four straight losses to open the season. Presentation defeated Trinity Bible 84-43 for Saints' first win.
The Saints and Trojans met on Nov. 21, 2009 at the Strode Center in Aberdeen, S.D. The Trojans sparked a 23-8 opening run and defeated the Saints 86-61 in a non-conference game. DSU shot 50 percent from the field compared to Saints' 38.2 percent.
York (Neb.) is 3-9. The Panthers had lost four straight games. York will face Midland University on Wednesday night.
Dakota State won the first meeting from York on Nov. 27 in York, Neb. The Trojans held a 31-25 halftime lead. DSU outscored the Panthers 23-19 in the second-half for a 54-44 non-conference victory at the Freeman Center. Both teams struggled from the field as the Trojans shot 35.2 percent compared to Panthers' 32.2 percent.
DSU will host Spin-tacular Basketball Show during halftime. Spin-tacular Basketball Show is presented by four-time Guinness World Record holder Bruce Crevier. Creiver has traveled to over 35 countries performing his Spin-tacular Basketball program, and sharing a message of hope to this generation. He has appeared on numerous television shows, and in magazines and newspaper articles across the country.
