Adams earned DAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week honor

Spencer AdamsFor the third straight week, the Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) has selected a Dakota State athlete as men's basketball player of the week.  DSU's junior forward Spencer Adams earned this honor for his second straight week.

Adams had 25 points, three rebounds, two steals and an assist in the Trojans' 77-70 win over Morningside on Dec. 18.  He was in foul trouble in the early first-half and scored 23 points in the second-half.  Adams was 8-for-13 from the field, including 3-for-4 from the 3-point arc.  He was 7-for-10 from the free-throw line.

Dakota State raised their overall record to 8-4 after the victory.

Adams leads the team in scoring and rebounding.  He averages 17.9 points per game (45th in the nation according to NAIA-DakStats statistical website) and shoots 50.6 percent from the field.  Adams records 75 rebounds this season (6.3 rebounds per game).

Spencer is the son of Roosevelt and Felicia Johnson of Champaign, Ill.
