Dakota State University holds ‘Basketball Alumni Weekend’ on Jan. 14-15

The Dakota State University is excited to announce the events for the 'Basketball Alumni Weekend' on the weekend of Jan. 14 and 15. The Trojan basketball women's and men's teams return home to face their in-state rivals South Dakota School of Mines and Black Hills State. In addition, there will be gatherings held after the completion of the games on each night.
Below are the events for the DSU 'Basketball Alumni Weekend':
Friday, Jan. 14:
- 5:30 p.m. – Women's basketball game versus South Dakota School of Mines
- 7:30 p.m. (or 25 minutes after the completion of women's game) – Men's basketball game versus South Dakota School of Mines
- After completion of men's game – Informal gathering of alumni at 'The Stadium Grill'
Saturday, Jan. 15:
- 9 a.m. – Breakfast in the DSU Fieldhouse lobby
- 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. – Tours of DSU Fieldhouse, including locker rooms
- 10 a.m. – Gather in gym, Welcome by DSU's Athletic Director Gene Wockenfuss
- 10:15 a.m. – A few words from women's basketball head coach Joe Reints
- 10:30 a.m. – A few words from men's basketball head coach Gary Garner
- 10:45 a.m. – A few words from Development Officer David Anderson
- 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Alumni can watch basketball teams prepare for games or take a campus tour
- 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Free time
- 4 p.m. – Women's basketball game versus Black Hills State
- 6 p.m. (or 25 minutes after the completion of women's game) – Men's basketball game versus Black Hills State
- After completion of the men's game – Gathering at Nicky's.
