Strand and Ely sign letter-of-intents to play for Trojan Football

Dakota State University football head coach Josh Anderson is proud to announce two signings to join Trojan Football team this fall. They are Dru Strand (wide receiver) and Zach Ely (quarterback).
Strand, 5'7" and 150 pounds, played under his father and coach Randy Strand at Adrian High School. He earned All-Conference, All-Area Defense and was a member of the team that qualified for state playoffs. Strand was a state wrestling participant for two years. He was a member of the baseball team that advanced to the state tournament. Dru is the son of Randy and Lisa Strand of Adrian, Minn. He plans to major in Exercise Science at Dakota State University.
Ely, 6'0" and 175 pounds, comes from West Central High School. He played under head coach Kent Mueller. Ely was named All-Conference and awarded 'Old Spice' player-of-the-week during the 2010 season. He also lettered in basketball and track. Zach is the son of Scott and Sara Ely of Colton, S.D. He plans to study Exercise Science at Dakota State University.
