DAC Women's Basketball Post-Season Tournament pairings announced

Black Hills State will be the No. 1 seed when the 2011 Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) Women's Post-Season Basketball Championships begins on Wednesday, Feb. 23. The Yellow Jackets won the outright DAC regular season title with an 11-3 record. The winner of the DAC Post-Season Tournament will earn an automatic bid to the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa on March 9-15.
Dakota State, DAC tournament's No. 8 seed, will face the Yellow Jackets in the quarterfinals. Tip-off is slated for 6:30 p.m. (CT)/5:30 p.m. (MT) at the Donald E. Young Gymnasium in Spearfish, S.D. It will be the last time for both teams to compete in the DAC tournament before making transitions next year. Dakota State will be an independent team of the NAIA, while BHSU makes their move to NCAA Division II.
The semifinals will take place on Sunday, Feb. 27. The championship game will be held at the highest remaining seed on Tuesday, March 1.
