DSU Trojan Football team adds seven recruits

Dakota State University head football coach Josh Anderson is proud to announce seven additional signings to join the Trojan Football team. They are Tanner Husman (fullback/linebacker), Jadon Evans (defensive back), Zach Bingham (linebacker), Kellen Broadnax (offensive lineman), Seth Christensen (offensive lineman), Matt Wright (defensive lineman) and Brandon Rasmussen (linebacker).
Husman – 6’0” and 205 pounds – comes from Lennox High School under head coach Scott Meyer.
Husman earned All-Conference honor and was named the team’s most valuable player. He also lettered in wrestling. Husman is a member of the South Dakota National Guard. Tanner is the son of Bobby and Candace Conner. He plans to major in Production Animation at Dakota State University.
Evans – 5’8” and 170 pounds – will graduate from Pipestone Area High School this spring. He played under head coach Troy Bouman. Evans was chosen as the team’s most valuable player in football. He also lettered in wrestling, where he was a two-time All-Conference and state participant.
Evans ranks second in the school for all-time career wins in wrestling. Jadon is the son of Gary and Judy Evans. He plans to study Physical Education at Dakota State University.
Bingham – 5’10” and 190 pounds – comes from Bear River High School in Tremonton, Utah. He played under head coach Chris Wise. Bingham earned second-team All-State and first-team All-Region awards in his senior year. He was also named to All-Area team. Bingham was a member of the ‘3A’ State Championship teams in 2004 and 2006. He was the team leader in tackles and was chosen as the Defensive Player of the Year. Bingham also lettered in wrestling. Zach is the son of Curtis and Jackie Bingham. He plans to study Health Education at Dakota State University.
Broadnax – 6’6” and 325 pounds – will graduate this spring at Bonneville High School in Ogden, Utah. He played offensive and defensive line under head coach Cliffton Buckway. Broadnax was named first-team All-Conference and was selected as Defensive Lineman of the Year. He was a member of the football team that won the county championship. Broadnax also lettered in basketball. Kellen is the son of Ross and Tricia Boradnax. He plans to major in Exercise Science at DSU.
Christensen – 6’4” and 250 pounds – comes from Atlantic High School in Atlantic, Iowa. He played for head coach Gaylord Schelling. Christensen was a two-year letter winner in football. He also participated in basketball, wrestling, track and choir. Seth is the son of Rodney and Ruth Christensen. He plans to study Elementary Education at Dakota State University.
Wright – 6’4” and 230 pounds – played defensive tackle for head coach Mark Senftner at Sully Buttes High School. He was named to All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention honors. Matt is the son of Derik and Chrystal Wright of Blunt, S.D.
He plans to major in Graphic Design at DSU.
Rasmussen – 6’0” and 190 pounds – will graduate from Watertown High School this spring. He was the linebacker for the under head coach Scott Leitheiser. Brandon is the son of Steve and Patty Rasmussen of Watertown, S.D. He plans to study Business Management at Dakota State University.
