Trojan Football adds two recruits

Dakota State University head football coach Josh Anderson is excited to announce two additional recruits to join the Trojan Football team this fall. They are Trevor Ostenson and Matt Osbon.
Ostenson - 6'6" and 295 pounds - will play as an offensive lineman for the Trojans. He comes from Belle Fourche High School where he played under head coach Adam Nowowiejski. Ostenson lettered in football for three years. He earned Gold B award, Grid Iron Player of the Week and was a member of the Black Hills Conference championship team for two years. Ostenson also lettered in track and basketball. Trevor is the son of Melisa Paulson and Jason Ostenson of Belle Fourche, S.D. He plans to major in Athletic Training at Dakota State University.
Osbon - 5'8" and 160 pounds - is a transfer from Northern State University. He will play wide receiver or defensive back for Dakota State. Osbon graduated from Worland High School in Wyoming where he played under head coach Wade Sanford. He was a team captain in both football and wrestling. He was selected for All-Conference and All-State honors in 2009. Osbon was '3A' interception leader and was named 2009 Male Fall Sports Sportsman of the Year. In wrestling, he was a three-time state placer and won the 135-pound state champion in 2010. Osbon earned '3A' Wyoming All-State selection, '3A' Wrestler of the Year, 2010 All Class All-State selection and 2010 second-team '3A' West All-Conference team. He also lettered in track and soccer. Osbon was a 2007 state track participant, 2007 Cowboy State Games Champion one-mile run and runner-up in the 100-meter dash. In Junior Olympic regional, he was a runner-up in the one-mile run, recorded a fourth place finish in the 100-meter dash and qualified for Junior Olympic National. He was listed on the Honor Roll for three years. Matt is the son of Mark and Joy Osbon of Worland, Wyo. He plans to major in Business at Dakota State University.
