Trojans open outdoor track and field season in Sioux Falls Saturday

Vance Butler Invitational Schedule of Events
The Dakota State University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams open their 2011 season on Saturday. The Trojans will compete in the sixth annual Vance Butler Invitational, hosted by Augustana College. The meet will be held at the Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Numerous NCAA Division II and NAIA schools are expected to compete in the meet.
The first event on Saturday is expected to start at 11 a.m. with the women's and men's discus and shot put. The first running event starts at approximately 11:30 a.m. with the women's and men's 3000-meter steeplechase.
The 1600-meter relay will be the final event of the invitational at 5:30 p.m.
The weather forecast for Saturday is partly cloudy skies with a high temperature of 50 degrees in Sioux Falls.
