Reunion Weekend Information

DSU Head Football Coach Josh AndersonThe Dakota State University football team prepares for their annual spring game scrimmage with DSU alumni on Saturday.  Kick-off is slated to start at 3 p.m. at the Trojan Field.

The reunion weekend kick-off on Friday night with the alumni social.  The social will be held at Nicky's at 6 p.m.

On Saturday, the DSU alumni can check their pads and sign a waiver form from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the DSU Fieldhouse.  After the scrimmage, there will be a social at The Stadium for all alumni, current players, staff, friends and families.

The spring game scrimmage consists of four 10-minute quarters.  The halftime length will be 10 minutes long.

"I'm hoping the snow will be melted and with a later start in the afternoon, the weather will have time to heat up," said Josh Anderson (DSU head football coach).  "I'm worried about our game field, but we have stayed off the field all spring and hopefully we won't do too much damage.  We've got a long summer to get back into shape if we do, but Pat Keating, Corey Braskamp and the DSU physical pant staff did an excellent job of making our field look spectacular each fall.  I know they will have the field looking great again for our first home game."

Dakota State University starts their first year member with the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) next fall.  The Trojans open their 2011 schedule on the road on Aug. 27 at Midland.  DSU's first home game is scheduled for Sept. 3 with in-state rival Dakota Wesleyan.
