Trojan Softball plays No. 21 Dickinson State in Rapid City, S.D. Saturday

The Dakota State University softball team continues their Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) action on Saturday.  The Trojans face Dickinson State in a doubleheader at the Parkview Softball Complex in Rapid City, S.D.  First game is slated to start at 1:30 p.m.  It was originally scheduled to play in Dickinson, N.D., but the wet weather forced to move their games.

Dakota State is 11-16 overall record and 0-10 in the DAC conference.  The Trojans lost to Minot State 8-3 and 1-0 in Spearfish, S.D. on April 16.

Dickinson State is 16-10 overall and 6-2 in the conference.  The Blue Hawks are ranked No. 21 in the latest NAIA Softball National poll.  Dickinson State is currently on a five-game winning streak, including a two-game sweep over Jamestown (8-4 and 6-0) on April 16.

Dickinson State won all four meetings from Dakota State last year in Madison, S.D. on May 1-2, 2010.
