DSU Softball hosts Black Hills State in four-game series at Thue

The Dakota State University softball team enters their final week of the regular season play. The Trojans return home on Monday evening (today) as they host Black Hills State in a make-up four-game Dakota Athletic Conference series. The doubleheader starts at 5 p.m. on Monday and 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the Thue Softball Complex.
Dakota State is 11-18 overall record and 0-12 in the DAC conference. The Trojans suffered two tough losses to No. 21 Dickinson State (4-1 and 2-0) on April 23 in Rapid City, S.D.
Black Hills State is 8-22 and 3-9 in the conference. The Yellow Jackets lost to Mayville State (twice) and Minot State in their last three games on the weekend of April 16-17.
BHSU won all four meetings from Dakota State last season in Rapid City on March 22 and 23, 2010. The last time both teams met on the Thue Softball Complex was on March 21 and April 13, 2009 where they split their four-game DAC series. The Yellow Jackets defeated the Trojans on April 14, 2009 as part of a non-conference game.
