DSU cross country opens 2011 season at home

MADISON, S.D. - Dakota State opens its 2011 women's and men's cross country schedule at home, hosting the Herb Blakely Invitational at the Madison Country Club on Sept. 17. The women's race begins at 10 a.m. with the men's to follow.
After their home meet, Coach Mike Nekuda's squads head out on the road to St. Paul, Minn. on Sept. 24. The Trojans participate in the competitive Roy Griak Invitational hosted by University of Minnesota that features numerous teams from the Midwest.
Dakota State will compete in the Briar Cliff Invitational at McCook Lake, S.D. on Oct. 8.
DSU's final regular season meet is on Oct. 22 as they compete in the Graphic Edge Invitational (hosted by Mount Marty) in Yankton, S.D.
As a member of the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.), Dakota State will be competing in the regional independent meet on Nov. 5. The site and location will be announced on a later date.
The 56th Annual Men's and 32nd Annual Women's Cross Country National Championships is held on Nov. 19. The national meet will be held at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, Wash.
