Atlantic's standout Johnson joins DSU Football program

Tyler JohnsonDakota State University head coach Josh Anderson is proud to announce the latest addition of Tyler Johnson to join the Trojan Football team this fall.  His position will be outside linebacker for the Trojans.

Johnson - 6'0" and 175 pounds - graduated from Atlantic High School this past spring.  He was a two-year letter winner in football under head coach Tim Duff.  Johnson earned Hawkeye 10 conference honorable mention, defensive player of the week, hardest hit of the week (twice) and Kamikaze player of the week honors.

Johnson also lettered in wreslting for four years.  He was a team captain, two-time Ironman and Trojan Head winner.  Johnson was a member of the wrestling team that placed fourth in the state team duals.  He lettered in baseball for two seasons.

Tyler is the son of Adam Johnson and Kim Wyman of Atlantic, Iowa.  He plans to study General Studies at Dakota State University.
