July 20, 2011

Anthony DrealanMADISON, S.D. - Dakota State University Athletic Director Gene Wockenfuss announces staff changes for the Trojan cross country and women's track and field programs.  The changes are effective immediately.

Buzz Stevenson will assume head coach responsibilities in cross country and track and field, a position he had held for more than 25 years.

Former DSU track and cross country standout Anthony Drealan has been hired the assistant cross country and track and field coach.  While at DSU, Drealan was a two-time NAIA All-American athlete (cross country in 2009 and indoor track in 2010).

Drealan was voted DSU's outstanding male athlete and Dakota Athletic Conference's (DAC) most outstanding outdoor track and field male senior last spring.  In addition, he was the DAC's outstanding cross country male senior in 2009.  He was also an integral member of the first ever DAC men's cross country championship in 2009.

Stevenson and Drealan replace Mike Nekuda, who resigned to take a position at Dickinson State University.
