DSU Football in full swing with fall camp schedule

DSU Football PracticeMADISON, S.D. - Josh Anderson, third-year DSU head football coach, and the Trojan football team are looking forward to an exciting 2011 season.  The Trojans opened their first practice on Saturday, Aug. 13 at Trojan Field.

Dakota State is entering their first year as a member of the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.).  DSU returns all-conference selections Stacey Berg (Winslow, Ariz.), Wade Hoffman (Artesian, S.D.), Marshall Doeden (Sibley, Iowa) and Bryce Logan (Frankfort, S.D.).

DSU Football Fall Camp PracticeThe Trojan Football team will have a scrimmage game on Saturday, Aug. 20 at the Trojan Field, which is free to the public.  Kick-off is slated for 7:30 p.m.  The Dakota State football team will hold 'media day' on Sunday, Aug. 21 at Trojan Field at 4 p.m.

DSU will kick off their 2011 football season on the road on Saturday, Aug. 27.  The Trojans will visit Midland University, No. 17 in the NAIA Top 25 Football Coaches' Preseason Poll and member of the Great Plains Athletic Conference.  Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. in Fremont, Neb.
