Free live webcasting available in all DSU home contests

MADISON, S.D. - Dakota State Athletics is excited to announce that live FREE webcasting will be available for all DSU home events, starting with the first home football game this Saturday.

Before providing paid live coverage through America One for three years, DSU provided free of charge live athletics webcasting for almost ten years.

Fans and DSU alumni can go to http://streaming.dsu.edu/Athletics-Live for all live coverage of DSU athletic events.  The link also will be available under 'Upcoming Events' on www.dsuathletics.com on game day.

Dakota State recently hired two play-by-play broadcasters for all five Trojan Football games this season - Jim Hockett and Matt Larson.

Hockett was born and raised in Madison, S.D.  He has been involved with radio and sports broadcasting for over 30 years.  He was the 'Voice of the Trojans' (his first time was in the late 1970's when DSU's legendary Ed Harter was the coach and returned back when Gene Wockenfuss took over the duties as DSU Athletic Director) for several years.  Hockett had done play-by-play at all level of college sports, including the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the past.

Hockett currently resides in Crooks, S.D. with his wife Cindy, They have two grown children and two grandchildren.

Larson is no stranger to Dakota State.  He was a 2005 graduate of DSU.  Larson was employed at KJAM Radio from 2000-2005, which included play-by-play for DSU Athletics and Madison High School.  He has done public announcing in some capacity for DSU Athletics for the last ten years.  He is currently on a fill-in role for play-by-play for Dell Rapids area news webcast and other radio stations as called upon.

Larson resides in Dell Rapids with his wife Amber.  They currently have two sons - Brady (8 years old) and Noah (4 years old).
