DSU announces indoor and outdoor track schedules

MADISON, S.D. - With indoor track & field season opener a few weeks away, the Dakota State University announced its indoor and outdoor track & field schedules for 2011-12 season.
DSU opens their indoor track schedule on Dec. 3, competing in the Wildcat Preseason Open in Wayne, Neb. The Trojans will compete in seven scheduled indoor track meets during the winter.
Dakota State will take partial team members to Iowa State Open on Jan. 20-21, 2012 and Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational (hosted by the University of Nebraska) on Feb. 3-4.
DSU will be hosting two home outdoor track & field meets in the spring - March 31 and April 27 - at Trojan Field. DSU competes in a total of eight regular-season outdoor track meets.
Each individual or relay team members will need to meet the NAIA's automatic qualifying standards to qualify for nationals during the regular-season. The NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships take place in Geneva, Ohio from March 1-3. The outdoor track national meet will be held on May 24-26 in Marion, Ind.
