DSU ends season at NAIA Cross Country National Championship meet

MEN'S RESULTS

Matt FidelerVANCOUVER, Wash. - Two Dakota State University runners competed in the 2011 NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championship meet at Fort Vancouver Historic Site.  Both DSU runners placed in the top 100 out of 312 runners in the men's cross country national meet.

Matt Fideler (senior - Volga, S.D.) raced his final collegiate cross country meet Saturday.  He finished his career-best 57th place finish in the meet with a time of 25 minutes and 21 seconds.

Andy CoyAndy Coy (junior - Hill City, S.D.) improved his best career place-finisher at the national meet.  He placed 84th in 25:37.

Kennedy Kithuka of Wayland Baptist (Texas) captured the individual title with a time of 23:15.

The NAIA Cross Country National Championships ended DSU's cross country season.
