A.I.I. Basketball Tournament moved to Feb. 24-26, 2012

Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.)MADISON, S.D. - The Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) basketball qualifying tournament, hosted by Dakota State University, has been pushed back one day.  The tournament will be held from Feb. 24-26, 2012 at DSU Fieldhouse.  It was originally scheduled for Feb. 23-25, 2012.

The tournament starts on Friday, Feb. 24 with the No. 4 seed versus No. 5 seed match-up.  The women's game starts at 6 p.m., followed by the men's game at 8 p.m.

The women's and men's semifinals take place on Saturday, Feb. 25.  The women's semifinals are set for 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.  The men's semifinals will take place at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

The championships will be played on Sunday, Feb. 26.  The women's championship game will start at 4 p.m., followed by the men's game at 6 p.m.

Women's and men's semifinals winners each will earn an automatic bid to the NAIA Division II Basketball National Tournament.  The women's national tournament will take place in Sioux City, Iowa, while the men's national tournament will be in Point Lookout, Mo.  The national tournament runs from March 7-13, 2012.
