Three Trojan spikers listed in DSU volleyball record book

Stephanie KruggelMADISON, S.D. - Three Dakota State University volleyball players had their name listed in the DSU's volleyball record book after the completion of their 2011 season.

All-Conference performer Stephanie Kruggel completed her four-year career at Dakota State.  She accumulated 1,122 kills in her career, which is the third-most career kills in DSU's volleyball record book.  Kruggel also recorded the third-most kills in a single season with 513 kills.  She recorded the second-most service aces in a single match with six versus South Dakota Mines on Sept. 23.

Stacey SchullerFreshman Stacey Schuller amassed 1,353 set assists during the 2011 season, which are the third-most assists in a single season.

Kristen DiPaola (junior) broke a DSU school record for most kills in a single match.  She tallied 31 kills in a 3-2 comeback victory over Mount Marty on Sept. 20 in Yankton, S.D.

Dakota State completed their stellar 2011 season with 16 wins, the most wins since 2005 when the Trojans reached the Dakota Athletic Conference Postseason volleyball tournament's championship match.  Kristen DiPaolaThe Trojans qualified for the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) volleyball tournament in Phoenix, Ariz., losing two matches to La Sierra (Calif.) and Mayville State in pool play.
