Niesen named to 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Football Scholar Athlete

ROME, Ga. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Friday that 244 football student-athletes have been named 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Student-athletes are nominated by their institution's head coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. They must achieve a junior academic status in order to qualify for the honor.
John Niesen of Dakota State had earned this prestigious honor. He is a junior defensive back for the Trojans.
John is the son of Keith and Patty Niesen of Amherst, S.D. He is majoring in Elementary Education at Dakota State University.
