December 28, 2011

Jessica VanLoyMADISON, S.D. - Jessica VanLoy left Dakota State University last week to take the head softball coaching position at Iowa Lakes Community College.  She had been the assistant volleyball and softball coach for the Trojans.

VanLoy is no stranger to Iowa Lakes as she served as the assistant softball coach for two seasons.  The Lakers averaged more than 50 wins most seasons over the past decade.  She assisted the Lakers in helping to their highest place finish - third place - in the national tournament in 2009.

VanLoy was a two-sport athlete at Dakota State University from 2005-2008.  She was named to All-Conference six times (four in women's basketball and two in softball) and NAIA Division II Women's Basketball All-American athlete.  She was chosen as DSU Female Athlete of the Year two times.

The search process for DSU's assistant volleyball and softball coach begins immediately.
