State Farm A.I.I. Men’s Basketball Tournament brackets announced

2012 STATE FARM MEN'S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT BRACKETS
MADISON, S.D. – The 2012 State Farm Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Men's Basketball Tournament pairings and game times were announced Sunday afternoon. The men's tournament features five former Dakota Athletic Conference members. The tournament begins on Friday, Feb. 24 and runs through Sunday, Feb. 26 at DSU Memorial Fieldhouse.
No. 5 seed Mayville State (13-14 overall record) will face No. 4 seed Dickinson State (11-17) to kick off the tournament on Friday at 8 p.m.
The winner of Friday's first-round game will move on to the semifinals on Saturday night versus the tournament's No. 1 seed Jamestown (24-5 record). The semifinals will take place at 7 p.m.
Host-team and No. 3 seed Dakota State (16-12) plays No. 2 seed Valley City State (20-9) in the first semifinal game on Saturday evening at 5 p.m.
The semifinal winners will move on to the championship game on Sunday at 6 p.m. Each semifinal winner will receive an automatic berth to the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Tournament in Point Lookout, Mo. on March 7-13.
The championship game on Sunday will carry a tape-delayed broadcast on Midco Sports Network.

A.I.I. Men's Basketball First Round – Friday, Feb. 24
Game 1: No. 5 seed Mayville State (13-14 overall record) vs. No. 4 seed Dickinson State (11-17) – 8 p.m.
A.I.I. Men's Basketball Semifinals – Saturday, Feb. 25
Game 2: No. 3 seed Dakota State (16-12) vs. No. 2 seed Valley City State (20-9) – 5 p.m.
Game 3: Game 1 winner vs. No. 1 seed Jamestown (24-5) – 7 p.m.
A.I.I. Men's Basketball Championship – Sunday, Feb. 26
Game 4: Game 2 winner vs. Game 3 winner – 6 p.m.
