DSU Cheer and Dance team tryouts to be held Saturday, April 28

MADISON, S.D. – The Dakota State University Cheer and Dance team will be holding a tryout on Saturday, April 28. Tryouts will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at DSU Fieldhouse.

If you are unable to attend the tryouts, you can submit the video prior to April 28. The requirements for the video submission include:
- 2 Chants
- 1. Make action to these words: Move it, Move it, Move that ball!
- 2. Two more (Front View, Back View, Words)
- Pep Band Dance
- Front and back views
- Bass Down Low Dance
- Front and back views
- Three jumps
- Options: Toe touch, left hurdler, right hurdler, left front, right front
- Extra Credit
- Double toe touch
- Round off toe touch
The DSU Cheer and Dance team cheer at all home football games and perform dances during halftime. The team will practice two nights a week during the school year.
