Three DSU runners capture first-place finish at Concordia Twilight

CONCORDIA TWILIGHT RESULTS

Summer BronsonSEWARD, Neb. – Three Dakota State University runners captured first-place finish in their regular-season finale Friday afternoon.  The Concordia Twilight, hosted by Concordia (Neb.) University, was held at the Bulldog Stadium.

Summer Bronson won the women's 400-meter hurdles with a time of one minute and 8.52 seconds.  She was eighth in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.77 seconds.

Dakota State men's runners dominated the long-distance events in the meet.  Matt Fideler placed first in 1500-meter with a time of 3:59.28.  Nic Penning captured the 10,000-meter run in 34:13.06.  Matthew FidelerAndy Coy clocked a time of 1:53.15 in the 800-meter run for a second-place finish.

Claire Beck finished second in the women's 200-meter dash in 27.98 seconds. 

In the women's 400-meter dash, Beck was 10th in 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.56.  Stephanie Uher placed 6th in 1:01.19.

Uher was 7th in the women's 800-meter run (2:20.30).  Stephanie Warnke placed 12th in 2:26.28.

Nic PenningIn the men's 800-meter run, Andy Quenzer placed 19th in 2:00.97.  John Bintliff was 22nd in 2:02.08.  Gabe Samuelson finished 26th in 2:03.76.

Dakota State will be sending three runners – Coy, Fideler and Penning – to the NAIA National Outdoor Track and Field Championship meet.  The national meet, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan, will be held on May 24-26 in Marion, Ind.
