Tunheim and Friends Garden Coop Recognition Night in Lady T’s basketball season opener

MADISON, S.D. – Members of the Tunheim and Friends Garden Coop Athletic Endowed Scholarship will be recognized after the conclusion of the Lady T's basketball season opener versus Oglala Lakota (S.D.) on Thursday evening. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. at the DSU Fieldhouse with the men's basketball game to follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Nancy and Dr. Jerald Tunheim established this endowment in 2008. With help from family and friends, Nancy and Dr. Tunheim plant, maintain and harvest the garden. Many families purchase memberships that entitle them to garden produce that help increase the endowment. Scholarships from the endowment are given to Lady T's basketball players who meet the established grade point average requirement and are selected for this scholarship recognition each year.
The Tunheim and Friends Garden Coop have raised $30,500 to date for this Athletic Endowed Scholarship.
