Lady T’s snap three-game losing streak, give coach Dittman 250th win at DSU

KYLE, S.D. – Dakota State Lady T's shot a sizzling 58.9 percent from the field Sunday afternoon to defeat Oglala Lakota (S.D.) 76-28 at the Multipurpose Gym. With the victory, Jeff Dittman recorded his 250th career win as the Lady T's head basketball coach.
Dakota State snapped their three-game losing streak to raise their overall record to 5-9.
The Lady T's jumped to a 44-14 halftime advantage. DSU shot 65.5 percent from the field (19-for-29) compared to the Lady Bravehearts' 28.6 percent (4-for-14).
Dakota State outscored Oglala Lakota 32-14 in the final twenty minutes of the game.
Ten different Lady T's players scored in the game. Kylie Westover led DSU with 24 points. She was 11-for-17 from the field and 2-for-5 from the 3-point range. Alyson Drooger added 12 points. Kendra Lindblad scored eight points off the bench.
Cassie Jacobsen grabbed seven rebounds for the Lady T's. Julie Munson recorded six steals and dished out four assists.
Alyssa Looks Twice had 13 points for the Lady Bravehearts.
DSU went 33-for-56 from the field, while Oglala Lakota made nine baskets in 32 attempts (28.1 percent).
The Lady T's outrebounded OLC 24-14.
Oglala Lakota committed 25 turnovers in the game compared to DSU nine turnovers.
Dakota State continues their action on the road this week. DSU travels to the Corn Palace on Wednesday evening for a match-up with long-time rival Dakota Wesleyan. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. in Mitchell, S.D.
