Dakota State men’s basketball lands JVC’s standout Adam Hofer

Front row:  James Valley Christian boys' basketball coach Darwin Hofer, Adam Hofer and Nancy Hofer.HURON, S.D. – Dakota State University head men's basketball coach Gary Garner is excited to announce the signing of Adam Hofer of James Valley Christian High School.  He is currently the all-time leading scorer at James Valley Christian.

Hofer has accumulated 1,576 points during his basketball career at James Valley Christian High School, under the guidance of head coach Darwin Hofer.  He is averaging 23.5 points per game this season.

"Adam will hugely impact the DSU men's basketball program," said Garner."  "I am looking forward to watching him develop and make huge a contribution to our program."

He has received numerous athletic honors.  He was named to the '281' All-Conference team three times in basketball.  Hofer was named to Class 'B' All-State first team during the 2011-12 season. 

He also lettered in soccer where he was All-State first team in 2010-11 season and All-State second team in 2009-10.

Hofer is the President of the National Honor Society club at James Valley Christian High School.  He will graduate this spring.

Adam is the son of Guy and Nancy Hofer of Huron, S.D.
