DSU women’s 4 x 800-meter relay team competes at NAIA Indoor Nationals

Kayla Sveen in action at NAIA Indoor Track & Field Nationals - Photo by Samantha DrealanGENEVA, Ohio – The Dakota State University women's 4 x 800-meter relay team competed on the first day of the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National meet Thursday afternoon at the SPIRE Institute Sports Complex.  The relay team finished 21st overall with a time of nine minutes and 43.79 seconds.

The women's relay team – consists of Kayla Sveen, Stephanie Warnke, Brooke Fritz and Stephanie Uher – improved their previous national qualifying mark time of 9:51.34 from the Buena Vista Open on Jan. 26.  A total of 22 relay teams competed in the event.

Four Trojan runners – Seth Boomsma, Andy Coy, Uher and D'Artist Williams – will be in action on Friday.

The national meet concludes on Saturday.
