Four Lady T’s named to 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Women’s Basketball Scholar-Athlete

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 178 Division II Women's Basketball student-athletes have been named to 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, announced on Monday morning. Four Dakota State Lady T's basketball student-athletes were named to this prestigious honor.
In order to be nominated by an institute's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
The four Lady T's student-athletes that received the Daktronics-Scholar Athlete honor are (name, year, hometown, parents' name, major at Dakota State University):
- Courtney Hamblin, junior, Rangiora, New Zealand, Mike and Helen Hamblin, Biology
- Julie Munson, junior, Cokato, Minn., David and Kathleen Munson, Physical Education
- Yui Onodera, senior, Senmaya, Japan, Jay and Lois Niedert (host parents)/Chie Onodera, Professional Accounting and Finance
- Brittany Rosberg, senior, Wausa, Neb., Danny Rosberg, Physical Education
