Begalka signs letter-of-intent to join Lady T’s Basketball program

MADISON, S.D. – The Dakota State University Lady T's basketball head coach Jeff Dittman is proud to announce the signing of Erin Begalka. She will be joining the Lady T's basketball program this fall.
Begalka, 5-foot-9-inch forward from Estelline High School, was selected to the Michael Entringer Classic Most Valuable Player twice (2010 and 2012). She was a member of the Estelline girls' basketball team, under the guidance of Mark Kreie, that placed fifth in the State 'B' Tournament in 2011-12 season.
Begalka was an All-Conference selection and team captain. She led the team in field goal and free-throw percentage. She averaged 14 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals per game at Estelline High School.
She also lettered in volleyball and track. She was an All-Conference and was named to Brookings All-Register Team in volleyball.
Begalka is on the Honor Roll, National Honor Society member and HOBY representative. She will graduate from Estelline High School this spring.
Erin is the daughter of Gale and Kay Begalka of Castlewood, S.D. She is planning to major in Physical Education at Dakota State University.
